Make Your Voice Count: Vote on Proposed Amendments at the Convention

While in New Orleans this summer, DKG members will vote on 120+ proposed amendments to the Constitution and International Standing Rules. Proposed amendments can be found on the DKG Website and are presented in groups according to topics and bundles within the groups. Proposed Amendments will be presented to the members in General Sessions as Consent/Adopt, Floor/Adopt, and Floor/Not to Adopt.

For detailed information about each proposal visit www.dkg.org or the article in the next issue of the Collegial Exchange magazine. The website will offer members information concerning the rationale of the proposal, fiscal impact (if relevant), Committee or member submitting the proposal, and the Administrative Board recommendation to adopt or not adopt. Some acronyms used throughout the 2022 Proposed Amendments document are GAPP (Guidelines and Policies/Procedures), DKGIEF (Delta Kappa Gamma International Educators Foundation), ISR (International Standing Rules), and ISF (International Speakers Fund).

“Clickers” (Audience Response System units) will be used by members to cast your vote on the proposed amendments that will impact the Society. Check out the tutorial on how to use a “Clicker” at www.dkg.org. Select “Events” and “International Convention 2022.”

Each VOTE counts! As July approaches, members will be reviewing the proposed amendments and gathering information in which to make informed decisions this summer at the Convention. Member participation and engagement in this process is crucial to the direction and future of DKG. Make your vote count!
