Why not take advantage of the many breakout sessions at the 2022 DKG International Convention in New Orleans this July? As always, DKG Convention brings an agenda packed with a wealth of interesting and educational opportunities. These opportunities come in many areas of the convention agenda. The breakout/takeaways are just some of the inspiring events in which members can select to attend.

Breakout sessions begin on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, with a total of six topics. Each session offers ten interesting topics from which to choose. Members have the opportunity to learn about DKG programs and events as well as to grow professionally and personally. Want to find out what is being presented before arrival? Breakout and takeaway information can be found by downloading the DKG app. Once inside the App click Agenda and select the session of preference to find the enlightening topics being presented. While in the DKG App favorite sessions can be added to your schedule. The hardest part will be picking which ones to attend!

While perusing the schedule in the DKG App, be sure to look for tech sessions on Wednesday and Thursday. Tech Station Volunteers assist attendees by ensuring App connection, answering questions about the App, and assisting with general questions in reference to the Convention. Also, on Wednesday and Thursday, check out nine 20-minute takeaway sessions which include question and answer sessions for the 2022 proposed amendments. Of course, there will be amazing speakers during the general sessions. So now is the time to get ready! Make choices about your schedule! Confirm reservations! DKG INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION NEW ORLEANS FOOD!!

Plan to come to New Orleans for the International Convention to enjoy all the activities, both educational and fun. But what could be more enjoyable than FOOD!! Convention planners have organized a luncheon for everyone on Thursday, regional breakfasts on Friday, and of course the DKG Society Dinner on Saturday. Have you thought about where to eat during the other times that hunger strikes? New Orleans is famous for many regional delights. Cajun foods are found everywhere. Gumbo, a regional delight, is a one-pot mouth-watering stew filled with chicken, sausage, seafood and okra all prepared in a rich brown roux. Another regional delicacy is jambalaya. Jambalaya is rice and pork or rice and seafood (or both). Give both a try. You will not be disappointed. New Orleans, Here We Come!

It’s almost time for the 2022 DKG International Convention in New Orleans, Louisiana. Are you ready??? Your transportation to New Orleans and the Sheraton Hotel is arranged. Your registration for both the hotel and convention is made. Now what?   If you have not already done so, download the DKG App on your phone. The agenda is there, speakers are listed, proposed amendments are posted and there is even a contest for earning badges for using the app.   In the app, you can select events to create your schedule. The app will keep you on track with all the events you want to attend and will also push notifications to you about changes in the convention schedule.
