Plan to come to New Orleans for the International Convention to enjoy all the activities, both educational and fun. But what could be more enjoyable than FOOD!! Convention planners have organized a luncheon for everyone on Thursday, regional breakfasts on Friday, and of course the DKG Society Dinner on Saturday. Have you thought about where to eat during the other times that hunger strikes? New Orleans is famous for many regional delights. Cajun foods are found everywhere. Gumbo, a regional delight, is a one-pot mouth-watering stew filled with chicken, sausage, seafood and okra all prepared in a rich brown roux. Another regional delicacy is jambalaya. Jambalaya is rice and pork or rice and seafood (or both). Give both a try. You will not be disappointed. If wandering out for lunch, you don’t want to miss the po-boy, a delicious traditional sandwich served on New Orleans crusty French bread and filled with about anything one might like – seafood, pork, meatball...

As members of DKG, we have the opportunity to share our projects, classroom procedures and individual endeavors with women from around the world. Proposals for workshops are categorized in a variety of presentation strands which address the specific areas of the subject content. So, don’t know what to do? Well, here’s a few guiding questions as you prepare to submit a proposal for presenting at the 2022 International Convention. 1. What is the title of my presentation? 2. What is the subject matter? 3. What age group does my presentation address? 4. Who is the target audience? 5. Will I have a shared presentation with another member of DKG?   It’s almost the New Year and many are already making plans for 2022. One of the most exciting things that will happen in the new year is the 2022 International Convention in New Orleans. You simply have to be there to experience the thrill of it all! Remember, during the Convention we will vote on Society business, install new officers, meet new members, and so much more.  Don't forget that we are meeting in a city rich in culture and cuisine. Wow! So much to do and see. This Convention will be a time to make new friends and reconnect with ones we’ve met in the past.
